Darling’s Foal has been christened
Darjeeling and is now spending a great deal of each day out in the field
in nursery school.
His first friend is a foal 3 weeks older than he is. Life is full of fun
with new things to learn, especially when it comes to a baby goat about
his own age.
Somehow the goat got the name of Emma. She has taken to Finca life and
is even contemplating riding. Emma is still on bottled milk but has also
discovered the rose garden, the feed shed and the swimming pool

After several sleepless nights checking on Darling the big
day was here. Darling foaled at teatime on Thursday afternoon. The foal
was a strong lad and up on his feet almost immediately, albeit with a wobble.
As yet no name but suggestions have been made of Earl Grey or Darjeeling.
Any ideas?

Derek found a kid in the long grass behind the stables,
no mother in sight. The local goat farmers were not missing any kids so
once again we have a new addition to the family. Billie is certainly taking
to the bottle and hopes to apply for the job as lawn mower at a later date.
